{D E S I G N} Glass Architecture by Eileen Boyd

I stumbled upon the unbelievable work of Milano-based design firm Santambrogio | Milano when researching glass formations for a project. To say I was awe-struck by these incredible structures is an understatement to say the least—I was mesmerized and perplexed all in the same breath.

With glass as their muse, Carlo Santambrogio and Ennio Arosio create these stunning homes that are highly cognizant of their environments and leave little to the imagination. From kitchen appliances, stairwells, and interior walls, every element is composed almost entirely from varying grades of glass. There's a tremendous amount of science and consideration that goes into each element of construction.

So throw on Billy Joel's Glass Houses album and journey through these transparent homes...

{H O R I Z O N} Take a Seat: Sofas You Should Know by Eileen Boyd

                                                                      &nbs…

There's definitely an art to finding the perfect sofa. It's such a personal decision with so much to consider and lots of necessary testing involved. I think clients and people in general worry about choosing a sofa because the choice feels so permanent and important within the space. And, while that is true, I'm a firm believer that if you choose something you love you can never go wrong, and somehow you'll always find a home for it.

Now not all sofas were made to live in the same environment. For today's muse, I wanted to focus on a few of my favorite sitting sofas that usually reside in formal areas designed for sparking great conversation. But, these beauties don't give up comfort in exchange for good looks—They've got it all!
